TS Galaxy continue to impress on the continent after advancing to the next round of CAF Confederation Cup after defeating CNaPS Sport 4-1 on aggregate.
Dan Malesela's charges headed into the encounter with the advantage, after Sanele Barns' solitary strike secured a 1-0 win in the first leg two weeks ago. The Nedbank Cup champions have really showed their quality this season as they are unbeaten in across all competitions, which included a road win in their last Confederation Cup game. Galaxy got off to a fine start once again as they extended their lead in the tie, with Samkelo Shangase opening the scoring after 19 minutes in the second leg. The South African outfit were able to see out the remaining stages of the first half with the lead on the day and the overall lead in the tie. It was more of the same for Galaxy in the second half as they doubled their lead on the day through Barns, who registered his second goal of the tie on 56 minutes. At the other end, Galaxy shot-stopper Ezekiel Morake endured a quiet second half as his defence were able to frustrate the Sport attackers. The visitors did extend their lead late in the game as Barns completed his brace, although weren't able to keep another clean sheet as Sport did bag a consolation soon after. Malesela's troops will now turn their attention to next week's GladAfrica Championship encounter away to Free State Stars.
