Simba SC are out to inflict further pain on a stuttering Kaizer Chiefs outfit who they face at the FNB Stadium on Sunday in the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.
Simba travelled to Johannesburg earlier this week, to acclimatise to conditions in South Africa as they look to proceed to the next round of the continental competition, having enjoyed an impressive group stage campaign.
Although their preparations were interrupted by the rescheduling of their derby match against Yanga, Simba have been fully focused on the task at hand.
The Tanzanian outfit, under the watchful eye of coach Didier Gomez, has been putting in the work at the Discovery Soccer Park in Sandton over the last few days.
Simba are currently on a rich domestic run that has seen them pick up six successive victories, and will be looking to continue that form when they take on Chiefs.
Chiefs, meanwhile, fluffed their chances of climbing up the DStv Premiership standings when they dropped points against perennial draw specialists, Swallows FC on Wednesday.
Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt will be hoping for an improved showing against Simba this weekend, that will give them the much-needed confidence when they travel to Tanzania seven days later.
Simba take on Chiefs at 18:00 on Saturday.
