Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane was full of praise for his upcoming CAF Champions League opponents, Kaizer Chiefs who he has hailed as one of the biggest clubs in South Africa.
Mosimane's Red Devils and Amakhosi will contest the final on 17 July with both teams overcoming Esperance and Wydad Casablanca in their semi-finals respectively.
For Al Ahly, they go in search of their 10th Champions League trophy, they won their ninth under Mosimane, while for Chiefs, their shock run to the final could see them lift their maiden gong.
Speaking to the media after his team's victory, the 56-year-old Mosimane was full of praise for Amakhosi, saying they are more superior than his former team, Mamelodi Sundowns.
"Kaizer Chiefs is one of the biggest teams in South Africa in terms of popularity and the club is bigger than Sundowns. They have a bigger support base than Sundowns," Mosimane told the media.
"They are a good team, and you just have to respect them. They scored four goals against Simba but conceded 3 goals. It is not easy to describe them."
Moreover, Mosimane feels his side is deserving finalists as they look to retain a title they had lifted last season.
"We feel good because we are in the final, but we have to be honest, we expected to be in the final.
"Not only because we are a big team, but because we played to reach the final. We scored three goals against Mamelodi Sundowns, four against Esperance, and five goals against Wydad last year. We are a big team."
