Horoya AC striker Ocansey Mandela has expressed his excitement about facing his childhood idol ahead of their CAF Champions League clash against AmaZulu.
The Guinean side will face Usuthu for the first time but the club has faced off against against Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
Club captain and striker Ocansey Mandela, is hoping to get positive results and expressed his excitement to play against coach Benni McCarthy.
"We feel good because it is not first time playing in South Africa. We are used to it, but it is very important for us to get positive results after our last game defeat. It would be nice to get a win against my childhood idol." Mandela said, speaking exclusively to the Siya crew.
"I'm very happy to play against him, he has been a role model not only in South Africa and Africa but the world too. We watched him play everywhere. I'm excited to meet him and hopefully, I can get a chance to speak with him for advice."
Despite his performances and dedication to Horoya, Mandela is yet to play in the Premier Soccer League and has not given up on that dream.
"Football is all about chances and how management deals with that stuff. For me, it has always been like that in my case, but for now, I'm focused on my time here at Horoya, nothing else.
"I'm still concentrating on this tournament and we will see what happens next, added the Burkinabe international.
