Wydad Casablanca maintained their perfect start in Group C with a 2-0 win over AC Horoya in the CAF Champions League, which certainly boosts Kaizer Chiefs' hopes of qualifying for the quarter-finals.
Wydad stuck with the balance of the side that emphatically thumped Chiefs last Sunday in Burkina Faso whilst looked to edge towards the knockout stages.
Their wish came through within the first 20 minutes after Ayoub El Kaabi unleashed a superb bicycle kick in the area that gave the opposite number in goal no chance.
Horoya looked to stage a comeback after going behind, however the Moroccan giants steadied ship to preserve their advantage and furthermore lead at the halftime interval.

In order to bring turnaround, Horoya started the second half with two substitutions as Ocansey Mandela for Alseny Soumah and Abass Traore in for Abou Mangue.
Wydad however refused to give the visitors look in despite the slender lead and change in make-up all-round from, as the match headed towards the final quarter.
The home side instead looked to settle the tie from the bench inside the last 30 minutes, with Simon Msuva introduced ahead of Muaid Ellafi.
It proved the perfect masterstroke for the host as Msuva netted the second in the dying stages from a clever finish to make it three wins from three matches.
As a result, Wydad sit top of Group C while Horoya sit in second spot, level with Chiefs who defeated Petro de Luanda on Saturday afternoon.
