AmaZulu FC coach Benni McCarthy believes the experience of coaches won't decide results, as the club looks to change its approach against Horoya AC in this weekend's CAF Champions League clash.
McCarthy comes up against experienced coach Lamine N'diaye, who has won Champions League and CAF Super Cup in 2010 with TP Mazembe, and has coached the Senegal national team.
The former Bafana Bafana striker says despite N'Diaye's experience, Usuthu won't be intimidated.
"Yes, of course we try to take positives against Raja Casablanca. We know the strength Horoya have, the experience the coach has, nothing compares to where I am as a coach," McCarthy said, addressing the media this week.
"But qualifications and what you've done in the past counts for nothing in a football match. As much as he has experience in his coaching career, I've also got an unbelievable and amazing playing career.
"So that doesn't make any difference, tomorrow is about two teams trying to get a win and I've got huge respect for him. It will be decided by which one wants it more and gets the tactics right - the team that will be more clinical upfront, not the team that got the most experience individually."
McCarthy says that the club will change the approach against Horoya, as they are playing at home.
"All the credentials don't win you games, playing the game well gives you results so, I think we will be more cautious against Horoya. We won't go guns blazing like we did against Raja Casablanca," he added.
