AmaZulu FC are looking to make a big statement against Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League encounter this weekend.
Usuthu have arrived in Morocco and will be looking to match up with seasoned campaigners in the tournament.
According to the club's spokesperson Phumlani Dube, the side arrived safely in Morocco and received a warm reception from the supporters.
"The club has arrived safely on Thursday in Morocco to face Raja Cacablanca, we've received a warm welcome from the football supporters of the game. We were shocked by the reception we received," Dube said via the club's media department.
"Some supporters have told us that they are behind us, as they are supporting other teams from the country and they want us to beat Casablanca for them.
"While some Casablanca fans have told us they don't know the club as they are familiar with Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, which they feel it won't be easy for us to beat them but we as a club, we are confident."
Dube says players want to make history and re-introduce the club in style by doing well in CAF and confimed that Siyethemba Sithebe is still on the sideline and didnt travel with the club.
"All preparations are good and the mood is high in the team, especially as we are representing the KZN province for the first time in the CAF Champions League. We are very motivated to make the supporters proud, players are so happy to be part of the history.
"Sithebe is not part of the team, he is not the only player not here."
