Two Mamelodi Sundowns and AmaZulu stars received recognition in CAF's official team of the week following their respective displays over the weekend.
AmaZulu's maiden CAF Champions League group stage 1-0 win over Horoya over the weekend saw their goalscorer on the day, Luvuyo Memela, receive deserved plaudits from CAF for his exploits in coach Benni McCarthy's side.
The 34-year-old expertly flicked a low cross home which crept across the line despite valiant efforts from the Horoya defence to keep it out.
AmaZulu currently sit second in group B.
For Sundowns meanwhile, they had to settle for a share of the spoils as they managed to register a vital goalless draw away to Al Merrikh continuing their unbeaten streak in a tough group A.
It was defender Brian Onyango who was selected by CAF as the outstanding player for the Brazilians with the Kenyan also included in the team of the week.
Next up for Sundowns is a clash against Al Ahly. The two sides will square off at the Cairo International Stadium on Saturday 26 February.
