Kaizer Chiefs' poor start to the season has cost both Yusuf Maart and Keagan Dolly places in the Bafana Bafana squad, according to head coach Hugo Broos.
Maart, who joined Amakhosi before the start of the season, has been left out of Broos' squad to face Sierra Leone and Botswana in international friendly matches at FNB Stadium.

"I think Yusuf is a little bit a victim of the bad start of Chiefs. The same with (Keagan) Dolly. Chiefs is not starting good the season. When I see Yusuf play, it's not really the same Yusuf of Sekhukhune. I think he is struggling a little bit with confidence because the results are not there. The pressure is there. Let's wait for the two friendly games, but he stays on the list for the next games," Broos told media in Auckland Park, Johannesburg, after announcing his 23-man squad for the friendly internationals.
"If he can achieve his level from Sekhukhune, then there is no problem. But I think now it's not a good thing for him to take him with the team, because the confidence is not so big with the results of Chiefs."

Broos also explained that Dolly is not on the level he is known to be on.
"Keagan didn't really start well with Chiefs. He was even on the bench. Keagan Dolly on the bench? That has to have a reason. And the reason is that Keagan at the moment is not on his level."
