Just days after Manchester City were hit with a two-year ban from the UEFA Champions League over financial irregularities, Paris Saint-Germain's president has been criminally charged in a separate set of allegations.
Earlier this month, reigning Premier League champions Manchester City were handed a two-season ban from European club competition after UEFA found the team guilty of committing serious breaches of Financial Fair Play regulations.
Just days later, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who is a member of UEFA's executive committee, was charged by Swiss prosecutors in connection with separate bribery allegations relating to television rights for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted in Qatar.
