A former Orlando Pirates player has revealed his concern regarding veteran defender and club captain Happy Jele.
In what has been a massive turnaround for Pirates under German coach Josef Zinnbauer, Jele has been impressive with his performances and in leading the team on the field, as the Buccaneers aim to prove their critics wrong in the second half of the season.
Jele's contribution in Bucs' resurgence has impressed former defender Tonic Chabalala, who believes that 'Magents' and teammates Gabadinho Mhango, Ben Motshwari, Thembinkosi Lorch and Fortune Makaringe form the core of Zinnbauer's much improved side.
"Mhango, Motshwari and Lorch have come to the party for Pirates, and at the back Happy Jele has been impressive. I'm worried of what might happen if Jele could pick up an injury or something. So far, the guy has done a very good job as the leader at the back. Makaringe has also been impressive. Everybody is coming to the party now and the team is gelling. But out of them all, Mhango is outstanding for me – a hard worker of note," said Chabalala.
Bucs are scheduled to host AmaZulu in Orlando this evening.
