There could be big news at Arsenal before the end of the January window, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reportedly receiving a shock offer to leave the club and Dusan Vlahovic still said to be a priority signing for the Gunners.
The English club has not yet made any acquisitions in this window so far, but has allowed the likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Pablo Mari to leave on loan deals until the end of the season.
According to Sky Sports, there is a chance that Aubameyang will also depart in a temporary move after Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr offered to take the Gabon international on loan.
The 32-year-old has found himself out of favour under manager Mikel Arteta following a disciplinary breach in December, which saw the Spanish tactician take the first-team captaincy off the player.
Considering his situation in England, however, Arsenal could be seeking a permanent exit for the ex-Borussia Dortmund frontman, who has scored 92 goals in 163 appearances for the London side since his arrival in 2018.
Aubameyang suffered another setback this week when Gabon released him from their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations squad due to a reported heart issue that was spotted days after he contracted COVID-19.
Regarding Fiorentina forward Vlahovic, the Serbia international is still being eagerly chased by the Gunners this month, with the board reportedly tempted to offer him wages that would compare with the best-paid in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old, though, is said to remain unconvinced by Arsenal's offer as he would prefer to remain in Italy until the end of the season, which could be when more clubs, such as Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, show interest in his signature.
For now, it appears the talented Serie A striker is keeping his options open, despite Fiorentina recently demanding that the player decide his future this month.
Arsenal will take on Liverpool in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Thursday night following their 0-0 draw last week.
