The group stage is approaching its end, and while there are spots up for grabs in the round of 16, many of those vacancies have now been filled following Tuesday night's matches.
This will be the last time we see a multi-group format and the final groups are beginning to take shape.
A historic night at the San Siro ensured that Borussia Dortmund have made it out of what has been dubbed by many to be the group of death. A 3-1 win for Edin Terzic's men over AC Milan made sure that they join their Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich in the next phase of the tournament.
While Germany already has three representatives in the first round of knockout matches, the only nation with more is Spain, with Real Sociedad, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid having all ensured their progression too.
Los Rojiblancos were one of the latest sides to qualify after their 3-1 victory over Feyenoord at De Kuip, courtesy of a strike from Mario Hermoso that was sandwiched between two own goals from the home side.
