Following Paris Saint-Germain's UEFA Champions League elimination at the hands of Bayern Munich, Bavarians star Thomas Muller has seemingly fired shots at Lionel Messi with a Cristiano Ronaldo comparison.

Since defeating Bayern with Barcelona in the first leg of their 2008/09 UEFA Champions League quarter-final, Messi has found the going against the Bundesliga table-toppers tough.
Since that victory, the Argentine has been on the losing side against the Germain outfit on six of the past eight occasions, the latest coming on Wednesday night.
Messi's long-time rival Cristiano Ronaldo, meanwhile, fared a lot better against the Munich-based side, having found the back of the net nine times in the eight matches he has played against them.
Messi's latest setback against Bayern seemingly prompted club icon Muller to take a sly jab at the Rosario native after the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner cut a peripheral figure in the must-win second-leg encounter earlier this week.
"Against Messi, things always go well at all levels in terms of results. At club level, Cristiano Ronaldo was our problem when he was at Real Madrid," the 33-year-old told reporters after their victory over the Ligue 1 side, as per Goal.
While the 2010 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner appeared to fire shots at the diminutive playmaker, Muller also acknowledge his brilliance at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
"But I have the greatest respect for Messi's World Cup performance," he added.
"Messi's individual performance at the World Cup was amazing. He carried the whole squad.
