Despite only being 24 years old, it feels as though the Merseyside native is already a veteran of the beautiful game.
Since being promoted to the Liverpool first team on regular basis in 2017, the England international has been a prominent figure in Jurgen Klopp's side, and was recently handed the honour of being club vice-captain.
Now, it is reported that the right-back is poised to ink a new deal at Anfield, which is rumoured to see him earn £250 000 (R5.7 million) a week.

While that figure may put him among the highest earners at the home of the six-time European champions, it is not enough to make him the highest-paid defender in the English top flight.
That honour belongs to Manchester United's Raphael Varane. According to Spotrac, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner takes home £340 000 (R7.8 million) a week, making him not only the highest-paid defender in the league, but the fifth-best-paid player in the entire division.

Above him is another Red Devil, Casemiro. The veteran defensive midfielder made a similar move to Varane when he traded Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu for Old Trafford at the beginning of last season.
Since his arrival, the Brazilian has largely been an ever-present in Erik ten Hag's side, helping the team secure UEFA Champions League qualification last season.
The Mancunians are said to pay him £350 000 (R8 million) a week, the fourth most lucrative contract in the Premier League.
While Alexander-Arnold may not crack the top 10 with his new deal, the Reds do have a representative on the list in three-time EPL Golden Boot winner Mohamed Salah.
Since returning to England in 2017, the winger has been a force to reckon with, and continues to showcase his brilliance even in 2023/24, having scored three goals and provided four assists already.
