The Selecao were held to a surprise draw in their latest 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match, a result that ended the team's 15-game winning streak at home.
Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes gave Brazil the lead 50 minutes into the encounter, which was dominated by possession and chances by the home side until Eduard Bello scored five minutes before time to silence the crowd.
The shock appeared to then turn into anger as supporters at the Arena Pantanal stadium let the team know of their frustrations, with Neymar on the receiving end of their reaction as he headed for the tunnel.
The 31-year-old had a bag of popcorn thrown at his head, leading to the former Paris Saint-Germain responding furiously as he tried to identify the perpetrator.

After the game and the incident, Brazil manager Fernando Diniz voiced his disapproval at the behaviour of those fans who "disrespected" the national team's all-time record goalscorer.
"I completely disagree. If the fan wants to curse, wants to boo, that's fine. But throwing a pack of popcorn doesn't add anything to anyone," he said, according to GiveMeSport.
"I think it's even disrespectful to those who came to play with and tried to do their best. But we also can't blame the tie only on the field and only on the heat, because we had everything.
"We had countless chances to score the second, third, fourth goals and we didn't score. And the goal they scored was an avoidable goal, which was a tactical error and game-reading error, a mismatch in defending."
