According to Italian transfer expert Gianluca DiMarzio, the Lagos native is on the verge of signing a new one-year extension with the reigning Italian champions.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a remarkable 2022/23 campaign at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, helping Gli Azzurri win their first league title in over three decades, and now club president Aurelio de Laurentiis has reportedly ensured that the Super Eagle will stay for at least one more season, with his current deal expiring in 2025.
Negotiations have been ongoing for weeks now, but it seems Osimhen's agent, Roberto Caldena, has finally got his client the contract he wants.
The same report claims that not only will the west African forward become the highest-paid player at Napoli, his new deal will also include a €150 million (R3.1 billion) release clause.
