A Napoli supporter died early on Friday morning after he was caught by a "celebratory gunshot" following Gli Azzurri's historic Serie A title triumph.

A report in the Daily Star details how Napoli's title celebrations late on Thursday night, which carried on into Friday morning, took a turn for the worst after a 26-year-old man was killed.
It is claimed four men were injured by gunfire, with the gunshots believed to be of a celebratory nature.
All four wounded men were reportedly taken to Cardarelli Hospital in the city, with the 26-year-old, who arrived at the hospital in serious condition, now being pronounced dead.
This is according to La Repubblica, who say police confirmed the supporter's passing early on Friday.
Fans took to the street of Naples following Napoli's 1-1 away draw with Udinese on Thursday night, a result that confirmed Luciano Spalletti's team to be Serie A champions with five matches remaining.
