One of Real Madrid's standout performers from last season has seemingly made his feelings clear after being snubbed for the 30-man Ballon d'Or shortlist.

The 30 Ballon d'Or nominees for 2024 were named on Wednesday night, a list that included several Los Blancos stars.
Dani Carvajal, Vinicius Junior, Antonio Rudiger, Jude Bellingham, Ernesto Valverde, the retired Toni Kroos and new arrival Kylian Mbappe are all up for the accolade, but there was no place for Rodrygo Goes.
This despite the 23-year-old's outstanding contributions in Real's LALIGA and UEFA Champions League-winning 2023/24 campaign, during which he played a hand in 26 goals in 51 appearances.
The seemingly disgruntled Rodrygo took to Instagram to post a collage of all he won last season, accompanied by a laughing emoji, after the 30 nominees were announced.

The Brazil international's actions have been interpreted as his response to being left out of the shortlist, which includes ex-Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels and Atalanta's Ademola Lookman.
Rodrygo has been key for Real in recent seasons following his arrival as a teenager in 2019.

He has also become a regular for the Selecao, although he failed to score in his four games at the 2024 Copa America.
