According to Spanish outlet Relevo, the 15-time UEFA Champions League winners are slightly annoyed that striker Joselu has chosen to move on from the club.
The experienced forward has reportedly agreed a deal to join Qatar-based side Al Gharafa, who are said to be ready to pay him €10 million (R194 million) a year.
Officials from Los Blancos reportedly feel Joselu could have stayed for one more season before departing in 2025, and that he would have played more games than he might have imagined.
The 34-year-old was used mainly as an option from the bench last season, although he did still feature 49 times across all competitions for Real.
The only natural centre-forward in the team, Real are rumoured to believe Joselu could have continued playing an important role even with the arrivals of Endrick and Kylian Mbappe.
Joselu scored 17 goals in the 2023/24 campaign, including five strikes in the Champions League.
