Los Blancos made five signings in the recent transfer window, while Rodriguez returned from his two-year loan spell with Bayern Munich.
As a consequence, the club has announced nine changes to their squad numbers, as was confirmed after the European transfer window closed on Monday.
It was previously revealed that Eden Hazard has taken over the iconic No. 7 shirt from Mariano Diaz, who received it after Cristiano Ronaldo left the Santiago Bernabeu last year. Diaz, in return, will now wear the No. 24 jersey after failing to secure a move away from Madrid in the window.

In addition, Vinicius Junior switched from No. 28 to 25 after being fully included in the club's first team squad this season. Spanish Football Federation rules state that first team players must have a squad number between 1 and 25, according to REAL TOTAL.
First-choice goalkeeper Courtois also has a new squad number, his favoured No. 13, which left the No. 1 jersey vacant for new second-choice goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, who arrived at the club from Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day.
Rodriguez, meanwhile – having previously worn the No.10 shirt now carried by Luka Modric – will now wear the No. 16 shirt.
