It was Los Blancos player who handed England a vital lifeline at the EUROs, when Jude Bellingham scored a 95th minute equaliser against Slovakia in their round of 16 clash this past Sunday.
The 21-year-old scored with a spectacular bicycle kick as he connected to a flick-on from central defender Marc Guehi, and the goal would prove the catalyst for their 2-1 victory.
While Bellingham and Guehi have played nine senior matches together – the aforementioned encounter being their latest – they could be sharing the pitch a lot more in the near future as the Abidjan-born centre-back has now been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to The Sun, Real are looking to replace recently departed club captain Nacho Fernandez, and have the 23-year-old earmarked as one of their targets for the position.
French centre-back Leny Yoro remains the most prevalent name regarding central defenders linked with a move to Valdebebas, but it seems the Crystal Palace man has now entered the picture too.
