Los Blancos returned to the top of the LaLiga standings on Wednesday evening after defeating Osasuna 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Los Rojiblancos, meanwhile, have kept themselves among the front-runners this season following the 2-0 victory away to Mallorca on Tuesday. However, the victory over Mallorca came at a cost for Diego Simeone who will now be without Alvaro Morata, who was sent off late in the game. A place at the summit of the LaLiga standings will be up for grabs this evening for the winner, although Real will cement top spot for another week with three points. The last time these two sides met was in pre-season where Atletico secured an emphatic 7-3 victory in the United States, although Los Blancos claimed a 3-1 win in this fixture last season.
