Despite getting sent off in the latter stages of the match, Bale was the hero for Los Blancos on Sunday as he twice dragged his side back from a losing position to earn a share of the points.
Gerard Moreno had given Villarreal the lead in the 12th minute before Bale equalised late in the first half, and the 30-year-old popped up with another equaliser in the 86th minute after Moi Gomez had put El Submarino Amarillo back ahead.

Upon netting his second, Bale matched the goalscoring record of famed Brazilian striker Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima, commonly known as Ronaldo, by scoring his 104th goal for the club.
The former Tottenham Hotspur star reached the milestone on his 234th appearance for the club, and is now Real's joint-13th highest goalscorer of all time.
Bale is also one of only 15 players to have scored 100 or more goals for the club across all competitions, although he remains some way off the club's all-time leading goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo, who netted 450 times for the LaLiga giants.
