The reasons why Kylian Mbappe decided against leaving Paris Saint-Germain in this window have now reportedly been revealed.

Earlier in the transfer window, it seemed almost certain the 24-year-old would leave the Parc des Princes in this off-season.
The Bondy native had declared that he would not extend his contract with Les Parisiens and that he was intent on leaving on a free once his contract expires at the end of this season, angering the French giants, who then insisted they would sell him to the highest bidder in this window.
Reports suggested that some believed Mbappe already had an agreement in place with Real Madrid, and that he would sign for them as a free agent once his deal in Paris expired, and after he was excluded from all of PSG's pre-season first-team activities, it was expected that Los Blancos would adjust their transfer plans in such a way that his acquisition would come to fruition in this off-season.
This ultimately did not come to pass, though, and many things have since changed at the club in the midst of the uncertainty surrounding the forward's future with Les Rouge-et-Bleu, and it is for this reason that Mbappe is now back on good terms in the French capital.
According to ESPN, the acquisition of Goncalo Ramos, a genuine No. 9, as well as the arrival of his close friend Ousmane Dembele have gone a long way in mending the relationship between the club and the player.
It is further claimed, however, that Neymar's departure was the biggest turning point in the Mbappe-PSG saga.
When it became clear the Brazilian would be making the move to Al Hilal, the reigning Ligue 1 champions released a statement indicating that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner would once again be a part of Luis Enrique's plans this season.
The same report claims that while Neymar and Mbappe were close when they first joined the club, the Frenchman had grown increasingly frustrated by the 31-year-old's frequent injuries, questionable discipline, and the fact that the Selecao talisman plays in the same position he wants to play in on the left flank.
