The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has already made history at this edition of the UEFA European Championship, becoming the first player to participate at six iterations of the competition.
A record that has eluded the Al Nassr talisman so far, however, is scoring at six different EUROs, an achievement he was denied in the latest stage against Slovenia when he saw his extra-time penalty saved by goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
His performance in that round of 16 has been largely scrutinised since, and has led to calls for manager Roberto Martinez to drop Portugal's all-time top goalscorer and record appearance-maker to the bench.
According to Relevo, though, the Spanish tactician has no plans to do so. Upon his appointment as head coach of A Selecao, it is claimed Martinez flew to Saudi Arabia to inform Ronaldo of certain commitments, one of which being that he will be a part of the national team for as long as he wishes.
The same report stated that Ronaldo's big wish now is to play at the next FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Mexico, Canada and the United States of America as he wants to become the first player to score at six World Cups, and it seems Martinez and the Portuguese Football Federation are willing to grant him this possibility should he continue playing at his current level.
