For Messi, rumours of a potential return to Barcelona have been mooted, while speculation surrounding a move to Real Madrid for Mbappe refuses to go away.
Following yet another disappointing UEFA Champions League campaign for Les Parisiens this season, it has been suggested that the Argentine and the Frenchman are open to leaving the club, but PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has promised to do everything in his power to keep the two attackers for at least one more season.
Speaking to Marca, the Qatari said: "We are lucky to have some of the best players in the world, who wanted to play for PSG despite receiving offers from other clubs.
"We are working to keep them going.
"We are going to analyse what we are doing and make sure we can continue with them; we want to do things accordingly.
"We are not going to make mistakes."

Messi's current deal in Paris runs out at the end of the season, and with contract negotiations having seemingly stalled, speculation regarding potential moves to Saudi Arabia and the United States of America has emerged.
Mbappe's contract reportedly concludes at the end of next season, with Real still heavily linked with the Bondy native.
