Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar reportedly had a heated clash with teammates and a club official in the dressing room following their 3-1 loss to title rivals AS Monaco on the weekend.
Rashford Keeps Man Utd's Slim Title Hopes Alive
The loss at the Stade Louis II was PSG's third league defeat in 2023, as many as in their previous 45 games in the competition, and according to L'Equipe, the result did not go down well with Neymar.
The French publication claims that the 31-year-old was particularly unimpressed with Vitinha, having had a go at the Portuguese midifielder for not giving him the ball in the right spaces and with the required speed. Neymar is also said to have scolded French striker Hugo Ekitike for his inconsistent decision-making in the final third, with tensions high in the PSG changing room after the match.
The situation seemed to escalate further after the club's sporting director Luis Campos went into the room to lambast PSG's display against his former side, stating that they displayed shameful attitudes and a lack of aggressiveness in the encounter.
Campos' comments did not go down well with the Brazilian duo of Neymar and club captain Marquinhos, with both players exchanging words with the Portuguese executive in what was reportedly a long and lively argument that left many of the playing and coaching staff at a loss for words.
Xavi Unhappy With Fati Reports
Les Parisien are not in the best of moments right now, and with a season-defining UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Bayern Munich on the horizon, PSG head coach Christophe Galtier will be hoping a victory in Europe this week will help his side get back on track.
The encounter against the Bavarians will, however, not be easy given that the French giants have been decimated by injuries of late, with the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Marco Verratti all absent for their loss to Monaco.
