Should the 30-year-old successfully complete a move to the Saudi Pro League, he will be arguably the second biggest name in the division.
While Palace were prepared to increase their star man's weekly wages of £135 000 (R2.9 million) in order for him to stay beyond June, it is unlikely the English side would be able match any contract the Middle Eastern clubs are willing to offer.
