A Manchester United star has reportedly revealed what the players did after their 2-0 loss to Newcastle United on Sunday.

According to Red Devils defender Luke Shaw, the team held a players-only meeting after their defeat to the Magpies, in what was a lacklustre performance from Erik ten Hag's men at St. James' Park that saw Newcastle go above United in the Premier League standings.
"I'm not going to go too much into that, but the players had a bit of a chat in the changing room after with no staff around," Shaw told Sky Sports after the match during a post-match interview.
"Because it's down to us players on the pitch, and it was nowhere near good enough."
Shaw went on to label the defeat as unacceptable, especially given the rest the players have had after the international break.
"Not what we wanted. Not what we were expecting. When you come here to a tough stadium and a very good side and you don't come with the right attitude and hunger, it will be a tough day. That showed today. We deserved to lose," the left-back added.
"The whole team had a bit of rest. Our levels had dropped, that was clear to see. Coming in today we felt good and ready for the game. The whistle goes and it's the complete opposite to what we've been doing in training. Unacceptable."
With their win over the Red Devils, the Geordie outfit were able to avenge their Carabao Cup final loss in February, when the record Premier League champions defeated Eddie Howe's men 2-0 to claim the trophy, and Newcastle forward Callum Wilson has insisted it was only right that they rectify that result.

"We were disappointed with the final," he said.
"It left a sour taste in our mouth. We had to put it right in front of our fans."
