During his spell at Old Trafford, Solskjaer guided to the team to third place and second place finish but a string of poor results in the 2021/22 season brought an end to his tenure.
However, the Norwegian has now revealed he would open to a return to the Manchester outfit if they asked him once again.
"If the family [United] asks, I would say yes every day of the week," Solskjaer said in a QA at the Oslo Business Forum, as per ESPN.
"It feels wrong to talk about jobs that other people have now, but I would say yes, of course."
Current coach Erik ten Hag was given a three-year deal despite finishing in eight position last season, although he is the only United manager since Sir Alex Ferguson to win trophies in back-to-back seasons.
The Red Devils have had a shaky start to the 2024/25 campaign, registering two wins, two losses and a draw in their opening give Premier League matches.
