Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has responded to rumours suggesting that Mason Greenwood and another Manchester United player were dropped for the team's win over Newcastle United after they were caught drinking before the game.
The 19-year-old was left out of the Red Devils' matchday squad for their 4-1 win over the Magpies this past weekend, as was defender Brandon Williams.
A few reports emerged suggesting that Greenwood and Williams had been caught drinking the night before the match, leading to them playing no part against Newcastle, and to Greenwood being dropped for the club's UEFA Champions League tie with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.
Their manager Solskjaer, however, has insisted there is no truth to the rumours at all.
"If that's the case, why is Brandon here? Where are your sources, that's what I'm saying," he said when asked about the speculation regarding the duo, according to the Daily Mirror.
When asked again if there was any truth to the rumour, the Norwegian said: "No."
