Despite signing four players in the latest window, only Cavani and Telles are among the struggling English giants' 10 highest-paid players.
According to the Express, Cavani, a former Paris Saint-Germain player, will earn £173 000 (R3.7 million) a week in the Premier League, which is believed to be half of what he was earning in France.
The Uruguayan international has put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the Red Devils, although there is an option to extend his stay for a further year.
His weekly earnings see the 33-year-old forward rank as only the sixth best-paid player at the 20-time English champions, while Telles' reported wages of £150 000 (R3.2 million) a week sees him come in at ninth in the list.
