Man Utd Transfer News: Five Out, Four In?

Man Utd Transfer News: Five Out, Four In?

With new owners expected at Manchester United soon, big changes to the squad for the 2023/24 season are being anticipated! Here are five players the club could reportedly sell, and four players on Erik ten Hag's shortlist to sign.

Why Rashford 'Turned Down' Move To Barcelona

It has been an impressive debut season so far for the Dutchman, who joined the Red Devils on a three-year deal following a successful five-year stay at Ajax Amsterdam in the Eredivisie.

United are currently third in the Premier League table, just five points behind joint leaders Manchester City and Arsenal, and are still competing in all three cup competitions – the UEFA Europa League, the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

Ten Hag is likely to be feeling enthused by the drastic improvement made by the team since the difficult start to the campaign, but knows more work will need to be done for the 20-time English champions to regularly compete with their rivals.

Therefore, personnel changes are expected at Old Trafford when the Glazer family does eventually sell the club, with rumours suggesting that the head coach will be handed a significant transfer kitty.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is believed to be on Ten Hag's radar, along with Napoli centre-forward Victor Osimhen, who is enjoying his best form in Italy to date, having scored 17 goals in Serie A already this season.

Kane, meanwhile, is second to Erling Haaland in the EPL's scoring ranking after managing to find the back of the net on 17 occasions since the campaign got underway.

Ten Hag reportedly believes United need to sign an established striker in the coming transfer window, with Frenchman Anthony Martial having had long spells on the sidelines this season.

Barcelona winger Ansu Fati, who was born in Guinea Bissau, is also said to be on the English giants' shortlist, while midfielder Marcel Sabitzer, who is on loan at United from Bayern Munich, is being explored as a permanent option.

As well as the possible targets, have a look through the gallery to see who United could sell at the end of the season!
