With Manchester United being criticised for their lack of transfer business thus far in the window, the Red Devils have now been linked with a shock move for an Arsenal player.
It has been a difficult few weeks for the 20-time English champions, who have signed just one player in this window in the form of Donny van de Beek.
United have been strongly linked with Jadon Sancho and most recently Ousmane Dembele, but are now said to be targeting a move for Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
According to German publication Sport1, the Manchester club could spend £20 million (R432 million) on the midfielder-turn-defender, who has been a regular fixture under Mikel Arteta.
The 23-year-old was previously discussed as a potential transfer target for Wolverhampton Wanderers, but is now seemingly on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's radar.
The abovementioned publication went as far as to say the transfer is "80% done", although this is yet to be confirmed by either Arsenal or United.
