As the Red Devils prepare to do business ahead of next season, it appears a certain Blaugrana midfielder has made his way on to their transfer shortlist.
According to Spanish publication Sport, the Red Devils are interested in signing 21-year-old Spain international Fermin Lopez, and have submitted a bid of €30 million (R587 million) for his services.
The report also claims, though, that the LALIGA giants have no intention of selling their academy graduate, who scored 11 goals in 42 senior matches last term.
It was that form that earned him a place in Luis de la Fuente's La Furia Roja squad in Germany, where they collected their first win of the tournament following a 3-0 victory over Croatia in Group B on the weekend.
Barcelona's expectations are that Lopez continues his progression while on their books, which is why the club reportedly will not consider his departure unless a significantly bigger offer arrives.
