According to The Sun, the Red Devils will consider appointing Mauricio Pochettino should they decide to replace Erik ten Hag after the FA Cup final.
The Argentine departed Chelsea following an announcement from the club on Tuesday that he and the Blues decided to part ways by way of mutual consent, this after he helped guide the side to a strong finish in the Premier League.
For United, winning or losing the FA Cup final against Manchester City this weekend could determine their stance on Ten Hag, who has come under severe scrutiny in recent months.
The Dutchman has largely blamed his side's poor season on injuries, although critics have suggested that United's playing style should still be clear to discern regardless of squad disruptions.
Pochettino was linked with the 20-time English champions before Ten Hag's appointment in 2022, but instead was forced to wait until 2023 for a return to the touchline following his one-year stint at Paris Saint-Germain.
The 52-year-old's reputation grew significantly during his five-year spell at Tottenham Hotspur between 2014 and 2019, after initially impressing at Southampton.
