After signing Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich in the off-season, Manchester United are reportedly looking at signing two more stars from the German giants.

The acquisitions of Mazraoui and De Ligt formed a large part of the Mancunians' recruitment in the previous transfer window as the club looked to rejuvenate the squad following their worst-ever finish to a Premier League season.
Their arrivals have, however, seemingly made little difference as United have got off to their worst-ever start to a top-flight season since the EPL's inception in 1992.
In the interim, Erik ten Hag will be hoping he can get his players firing as they look to ascend back up the log, but it seems the Dutch tactician is already planning to bolster his squad in the mid-season transfer window.
According to Sky Sports Germany, United are exploring the opportunity to sign Leon Goretzka and Leroy Sane, either at the end of the season or as early as the January window.
Despite also signing Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain during the off-season, it appears that Ten Hag wants more reinforcements in the centre of midfield, and views Goretzka as an apt acquisition.
His deal may be a bit complicated to complete given that his contract runs until 2026, however, with the same report claiming that he may not be eager to make the move during the middle of the campaign.

In the case of Sane, his existing contract expires at the end of the ongoing campaign, but it is understood that he is currently engaged in negotiations over an extension, so whether or not United can successfully lure him back to Manchester remains to be seen.
