This past weekend, the Red Devils drew 0-0 with Aston Villa at Villa Park. While it might have been an improvement on their 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur the week before, the result ensured that this is the club's worst start in the Premier League era after seven games as they are currently languishing in 14th position on the log.
After the defeat to the Lilywhites, it was believed that the outcome of the matches against Porto in the UEFA Europa League and the league encounter against the Villans would have a large bearing on whether or not Ten Hag would be fired.
They drew 3-3 with Porto at the Estadio do Dragao before their stalemate in Birmingham, but after the result against Unai Emery's charges, United central defender Jonny Evans admitted that the speculation surrounding their manager has affected him and his teammates.
"That was the important thing to show the spirit in the team. Everyone competed as much as they could. That's a pleasing thing to see. You never have everyone available throughout the season. It's important everyone coming in is ready to go when they're ready," the Northern Irishman told the BBC.

When quizzed on whether the reports pertaining their manager's future were having an adverse effect on them, he added: "It does affect the players. It's on our minds too. I think the more experience I've got in my career, I've made sure I do everything I can to be ready and give everything I can to the team."
