Result: Manchester United 0-0 Chelsea
Date: 24 October 2020
Venue: Old Trafford
Manchester United's poor home form in the Premier League continued after playing to a goalless draw with Chelsea on Saturday night.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left Paul Pogba on the bench once again while Edinson Cavani was named among the substitutes alongside Mason Greenwood and Alex Telles.
The encounter began at a slow pace as neither side showed any real attacking impetus in the opening 20 minutes.
The game's first opening fell to the hosts on 33 minutes when Bruno Fernandes played in Marcus Rashford, who was denied by Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
The Blues shot-stopper was called upon again seven minutes later, this time keeping out Juan Mata's effort from the edge of the box.
After a slow start to the second half, Solskjaer introduced Cavani and Pogba for Juan Mata and Daniel James just before the hour mark.
Cavani's impact was almost instant as the Uruguayan's neat flick at the near post sailed just wide of Mendy's upright.
Other than Cavani's chance, Rashford had a late sight at goal from distance but the striker saw his curling effort saved by Mendy as the sides were forced to settle for a share of the spoils.
