The Athletic has reported that 26-year-old goalkeeper Dean Henderson is set for a move to Crystal Palace in a deal that could rise to £20 million (R469 million).
It is claimed the shot-stopper will join the Eagles for an up-front fee of £15 million (R351 million), with a further £5 million (R117 million) to be paid in add-ons.
Henderson was once tipped to be David de Gea's long-term successor at Old Trafford, but criticised the club last year for wasting his time and not fulfilling promises.
He was then sent to Nottingham Forest on loan for the 2022/23 campaign shortly after Erik ten Hag's arrival, but an injury he suffered at the turn of the year forced the Tricky Trees to make a U-turn on their plans to sign him permanently.
The Red Devils' signing of Andre Onana from Inter Milan meant Ten Hag was not planning to use Henderson as his first-choice keeper, leaving the Englishman's future at the club uncertain.
He has appeared on the bench in all three of United's Premier League matches so far this season, but is now expected to continue the season and his career at Selhurst Park.
