Reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain are ready to pull out all the stops and activate a release clause worth a staggering €150 million (R2.6 billion) to sign an AC Milan star.
Mbappe Unhappy At Paris Saint-Germain?
Despite the large influx and mass exodus of players who came to and left the Parc des Princes in the past off-season, PSG sporting director Luis Campos was reportedly not satisfied by the business the club were able to do in the latest transfer window.
Les Parisiens were said to be eager to bring in three main signings prior to the commencement of the 2022/23 campaign, believed to be Bernardo Silva, Milan Skriniar and Rafael Leao.
While reports suggest that Silva would prefer a move to Barcelona instead of Paris, PSG are understood to still be in for the Portuguese playmaker should he decide to leave Manchester City.
In the case of Skriniar, the French champions will reportedly once again look to bring him in during the upcoming January transfer window, with the centre-back now in the final 12 months of his contract with Inter Milan.
A player PSG, and particularly Campos, are not willing to compromise on is AC Milan ace Leao, howwever.
According to Media Foot Marseille, the Portuguese executive has made his compatriot the club's main priority for next season, and having been the person who introduced the 23-year-old to French football when they were both at Lille, Campos is said to believe an agreement can be reached with Serie A's most valuable player from last season.
Griezmann Breaks Silence After Official Barca Exit
The same report suggests that the Ligue 1 giants are willing to pay the necessary €150 million that could see the Almada native make the move to the French capital.
