The Paris Saint-Germain players have reportedly voted for their captain for the 2023/2024 season.
There were reports claiming that Marquinhos' position as captain and his starting spot were under threat following the arrival of Milan Skriniar and Theo Hernandez.
Marquinhos was only introduced in the 82nd minute of PSG's Ligue 1 opener against Lorient last weekend, with Danilo Pereira named captain on the day.

According to RMC Sport, the Brazilian defender will remain captain for the current campaign after the entire squad voted for him to keep the armband.
Marquinhos was named club for PSG after fellow countryman Thiago Silva left the club at the end of the 2019/2020 season.
French outlet Le Parisien, meanwhile, claims it won't be easy for Marquinhos to get his spot-kick as Hernandez is expected to play at centre-back alongside Skriniar as soon as Nuno Mendes returns from injury.
The reports do add that Marquinhos is welcoming the added competition in the squad, especially now after the players were in agreement to keep him as the skipper this campaign.
Luis Enrique's charges will aim for their first win of the season when they take on Toulouse on Saturday evening, with Kylian Mbappe also expected to return the side.
