According to the Daily Mail, Les Parisiens is interested in signing Gunners captain Martin Odegaard in the upcoming transfer window.
The Norwegian has been in sublime form for the north Londoners as he and his teammates mounted the club's first genuine title challenge in over a decade, and it seems his performances have caught the eye of the record French champions.
The 24-year-old playmaker has only two years remaining on his contract with Arsenal, but PSG could find it difficult to lure the goalscoring midfielder away from Emirates as he enjoys being a prominent figure in Mikel Arteta's side as well as life in London.
The same report suggests that the English giants have only £180 million (R4.4 billion) to spend in the transfer market, excluding players sales, but despite this, they are not keen on financing additional funds at the expense of their skipper.
Odegaard produced 15 goals and eight assists in the English top flight this season, and with the club having recently extended Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka's contracts, the 13-time English champions will likely be keen to reward the Scandinavian sensation with a fresh deal too.
The French giants, on the other hand, are eager to bolster their midfield following another disappointing campaign in Europe, and have been linked with a host of players who operate in the middle of the park.

One of them was Manchester City star Bernardo Silva, who was rumoured to be interested in a move to the Parc des Princes, and now it is believed they also want Sporting CP star Manuel Ugarte.
There is speculation the Uruguayan has a €60 million (R1.2 billion) release clause in his deal in Portugal, with PSG believed to want to beat the likes of Chelsea to the 22-year-old's services.
