Ligue 1
Result: Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Dijon
Date: 20 September 2016
Venue: Parc de Princes
Edinson Cavani was among the goals for Paris Saint-Germain, as they recorded a 3-0 win over Dijon at the Parc de Princes.
Unai Emery only made three changes to the side that turned out the last time and charismatic striker Cavani shook off a knock to lead the attack.
PSG took the lead in the 16th minute through a hugely deflected cross from Maxwell. The covering Adam Lang was hit by the looping cross that bounced over a helpless Raynet and into the far corner of the net, 1-0.
Cavani made it 2-0 in the 26th minute via the penalty spot, Adrien Rabiot was brought down in the box.
Angel Di Maria was lively for the home side and he nearly registered his name on the score-sheet after 45 minutes, but his effort from 25-yards out sailed inches wide of the upright.
The first half ended with the Ligue 1 champions enjoying a 2-0 cushion scoreline.
The hosts extended their advantage after the hour-mark, when Lucas Moura headed home Maxwell's inviting cross from the left, 3-0.
Dijon finished the match strongly but PSG had done their work early and clinically, and deservedly walked away with full three points.
The victory moves Paris Saint-Germain back to the to of the Ligue 1 standings, while Dijon have slipped into the relegation zone.
