In-form Mario Balotelli missed a penalty for Nice, as they maintained top spot in Ligue 1 with a 2-0 win over Olympique Lyonnais.

The Italian forward was initially suspended for the encounter, after being sent off in the win against Lorient before the international break.
However, the referee revealed after the match that he made a mistake and the striker was cleared to play.
Nontheless, Balotelli had the chance to extend his fine scoring against Lyon on Friday night when Nice were awarded a penalty in the 81st minute, but the 25-year-old had his penalty saved by Antonio Lopes.
The former Manchester City forward went on to pick up a booking in the 85th minute, before he was replaced two minutes later.
