Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho has been linked with a return to the Premier League, which could see him reunite with one of his former managers.
The Brazilian midfielder has not lived up to expectations since joining the Catalan giants from Liverpool in January 2018, having made only 64 LaLiga appearances for the Blaugrana since, while he also spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Bayern Munich.
A serious knee injury has kept Coutinho out of action for much of this year, but it seems the Spanish club is now looking to offload the attacking midfielder due to their large wage bill.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo FA Cup champions Leicester City have been linked with a £20 million move (R333 million) for the 29-year-old.
Coutinho previously worked with Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool, where they came close to winning the Premier League title in the 2013/14 season together.
It is further claimed that Leicester are just one of many clubs interested in Coutinho, among them Arsenal and Everton but neither of those teams will be playing European football next season.
