Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has insisted Ronald Koeman deserves another year at FC Barcelona despite a disappointing first season in charge.
The Catalan giants finished third in LaLiga and only reached the UEFA Champions League last 16 in Koeman's debut campaign at the Camp Nou, although they did win the Copa del Rey.
The Blaugrana recently confirmed that the Dutchman will still be in charge next season, a decision Guardiola seemingly agrees with.
"It has been a difficult year for everyone and Ronald deserves one more year, with people in the stadium. Besides, second years are always better.
"At times, the team has played very well, they are among those who played better football in Spain."
When asked about his own future after the Citizens' loss to Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League final, Guardiola added: "I have a two-year contract at Manchester, I'm happy and so it will continue to be."
