LaLiga Player Of The Season Announced!

LaLiga have announced their 2020/2021 Player of the Season, but both Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez were snubbed.

Despite the Catalan giants finishing third spot, Messi finished as top goal scorer with 30 goals, seven more than Karim Benzema and Gerard Morena.

However, the award went to Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak who played a key role in helping the club claim their first league title since 2014.

Oblak recorded 18 clean sheets in 38 LaLiga appearances this past, which was the most by any goalkeeper in the Spanish top fight.

This is second accolade Oblak has picked up this season, having already secured the Zamora Trophy for a fifth time.
