The El Clasico rivals are believed to have an active interest in the 24-year-old as they are both seek long-term replacements for their right-back position.
However, according to 90min, Alexander-Arnold is set to commit his future to the Merseyside outfit by signing a new contract.
The Spanish giants are also rumoured to be interested in Alexander-Arnold's compatriot Reece James, but like the Chelsea captain, the Liverpool native is set to stay and sign a new deal at Anfield that will see him become among the highest-paid players in his position in the game.
The same report claims that the playmaking defender will likely earn £250 000 (R5.8 million) per week, with the new contract expected to be signed before Christmas.
The Scouser has been at the home of the six-time European champions ever since he was six years old, and is now set to continue his lifelong journey with the Reds well into the latter stages of his twenties.
He is not the only fullback set to extend his stay either, with left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas also poised to put pen to paper on a new contract.
